Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Zahir Shah Toru, along with US Consulate General Peshawar’s Chief for Political and Economic Affairs Dustin DeGrande and officials from the Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees, inaugurated the solar system, ultrasound machine, dental unit, and oxygen concentrator at the Rural Health Center (RHC) Pirpai in Nowshera. This project was accomplished with the mutual cooperation of the Non-Government Organization IDEA.
During the ceremony, Zahir Shah Toru commended the US Consulate General and the IDEA organization for their efforts in providing medical facilities in the RHC. Toru stated that these initiatives will help to provide better healthcare services to the local population and bring about a positive change in the health sector.
District health officials and other dignitaries also attended the inaugural ceremony and expressed their pleasure at the improvements being made to the RHC. Dustin DeGrande also shared his thoughts on the occasion, stating that they are interested in improving the lives of the people through the cooperation of the US and Donor organizations.
