ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Revenue and Property Nazir Ahmad Abbasi on Friday presided over a meeting to discuss computerization of land records.
During the meeting, Minister Abbasi issued directives for setting up a dedicated counter at Abbottabad’s Service Delivery Center (SDC) covering Lora, Bakot and Boni patwar circles. During the meeting, an initiative aimed at issuing electronic documents to reduce corruption was highlighted.
Project Director Khalid Zaman gave the participants a comprehensive overview of the project. Nazir Abbasi also directed the implementation of similar initiatives at other service delivery centers across the province.
He also dealt with the problem of staff shortages in service delivery centers.
The minister ordered the immediate redeployment of the computer operators who are currently stationed in the Deputy Commissioner’s offices back to the service delivery centres.
In addition, comprehensive plans were directed to be formulated for the appointment of new computer operators as per requirements in all service delivery centers across the province.
