LAHORE: Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore will be closed from 5 am to 8 am every day from July 10 to September 10.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced the move on Sunday in response to the bird population around the airport during the monsoon season.
These precautionary measures aim to improve passenger safety by reducing the risk of bird strikes during critical flight operations. Both runways will be closed during these hours, affecting domestic and international traffic. CAA has issued notices to relevant departments to inform all concerned airlines and stakeholders about the temporary closure. Travelers are advised to contact their respective airlines for updated schedules and possible delays during this period.
