LAHORE: The ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has entered its crucial phase where every match is of utmost importance in the fight for the playoffs.
Multan Sultans have qualified for the playoffs, which will begin at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 14, while Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi are one step away from the eliminators.
If we look at individual stats, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam tops the run-getter with 394 runs to his name from seven matches.

If we look at the bowling statistics, the Multan Sultans duo of Usama Mir and Mohammad Ali occupy the top two spots, which is no surprise as they are once again dominating the league in PSL 2021.

Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi’s explosive opener Saim Ayub leads the list of most sixes as the left-hander has been one of Zalmi’s most important players this season.

Similar to the previous edition, the ninth edition of PSL will be played in two stages. Matches from 17 to 27 February were played at the Multan Cricket Stadium and the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with a total of 14 matches played.
The cricket action then shifted to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium where 16 matches will be played from February 28 to March 12. The tournament will end in the playoffs in Karachi.
