Karachi: The future of hairdressing in Pakistan is bright! The graduation of the first and second batch of L’Oréal Professional Institute Pakistan was celebrated in a ceremony held at the Marriott Hotel, Karachi.
A celebration of women’s empowerment and financial independence, the event was attended by the Honorable Consul General of France, Karachi, Ms. Alexis Chahtahtinsky as the Guest of Honor.
Building on the success of the inaugural team, LPIP is committed to changing lives. In partnership with CIRCLE, a women-led nonprofit, they identify talented but underserved women with a passion for hairstyling and give them the tools they need to thrive and achieve financial independence.
The event highlighted the importance of such initiatives in the socio-economic conditions of Pakistan. The graduating class of 24 talented hairdressers received 50% full scholarships from L’Oréal Pakistan and CIRCLE, proof of the program’s effectiveness.
The event featured an engaging panel discussion led by Adeela Liaquat, Director, Corporate Affairs and Relations. Panelists, including CIRCLE Founder Sadaffe Abid and esteemed Salon Partners Hifsa Khan, Nina Lotia and Sidra Gill, discussed L’Oréal Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to empowering women and providing a platform for them to become leaders in the industry.
Popular stylist and long term partner Nabila Maksud and Country Managing Director of L’Oréal Pakistan Kawi Nasser gave an inspiring speech. mr. Naser said, “At L’Oréal Pakistan, our commitment to promoting financial independence among women is unwavering. Through the L’Oréal Professional Institute of Pakistan, we aim to create a sustainable future that values diversity and promotes equality, providing women with tools that they need to be successful.” “
The guest of honour, Consul General of France, Karachi, Monk Alexis Chakhtahtinsky, made a special speech, praising the initiative for its significant impact on women’s economic empowerment. “I would like to commend L’Oreal and its partners for their commitment and critical support to make this project a success. In doing so, you are not only helping brave and talented Pakistani women get the skills they need to earn a living and support their families.”
The event ended with the presence of some other famous guests and the distribution of diplomas to the hairdressing graduates.
LPIP offers a comprehensive six-month program that equips graduates not only with hairdressing skills, but also with work experience and practical experience through hands-on experience. Candidates are also given job placement opportunities within the Salon Expert network, ensuring a successful transition into a successful career.
