GUJRANWALA:- In a tragic incident in a town famous for wrestlers, Gujranwala, a dispute over an electricity bill led to the murder of a younger brother by his elder sibling.
According to details, the unfortunate incident took place in Gujranwala’s Prince Road area where two brothers were staying together in a house.
An electricity bill of Rs 30,000 led to an argument between the siblings over its payment.
During an argument, the elder brother allegedly attacked his younger brother with a sharp dagger, resulting in fatal injuries.
After the incident, the perpetrator managed to escape from the scene. The deceased was identified as Umar while the suspect was identified as Murtaza.
After receiving information about the incident, the police immediately reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for legal formalities.
Initial investigations indicate that the dispute escalated when the suspect demanded payment of the bill from his younger brother, leading to a violent confrontation.
Police found that during the scuffle, Murtaza fatally stabbed Umar and then fled. Teams have been formed to nab the suspect.
