Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-Sunni Ittehad Council MNA Asad Kaisar claimed that the public had talked about the May 9 incident and said it was a “drama” orchestrated by IG Punjab and Mohsin Naqvi.
Asad Qaiser reiterated his position to establish a judicial team to investigate the May 9 incident.
Commenting on the affairs of the parliament, Asad Qaisar said that his party wants to see a strong parliament and an independent judiciary in the country so that the judiciary can take independent decisions. He said the rule of law is important in Lawurt.
The former National Assembly speaker questioned the law under which PTI was not allowed to hold meetings and promised to hold mass meetings in Lahore and Karachi.
The JIM leader said that despite serious concerns and reservations, the party wants to carry out the work of Parliament and for this, the government must ensure its democratic rights.
Earlier, the Lahore Police had decided to include former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in the investigation related to the May 9 vandalism case.
“Chaudhry will be part of the investigation of the statement of the arrested accused. Evidence of Fawad Chaudhry’s involvement found in statement of arrested accused,” the police said.
“Chaudhry has been granted interim bail in all cases. Chaudhry did not participate in the investigation in some cases,” said a police official.
