In our society transgender are considered an oppressed class torturing them and killing them is the easiest thing in the country. The main reason for this is that most of the transgender don’t have any successors so the bad folks and the mischiefs don’t waste such an opportunity to torcher then hard.
Attention is not paid and often when transgender get sick, they lie helpless and die rubbing their heels. Yesterday the issue of transgender gained attention once again when the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa decided to allocate a separate ward for them in all the district headquarters of the province.
The governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has talked about giving technical training to transgender which is a good suggestion, if implemented they can get dignified employment. Maybe now it is time to see how long these orders will be implemented. It should be remembered that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali and Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had a meeting in which the problems faced by Khawaja Saran were discussed.
Ghulam Ali informed the Chief Minister about the serious problems faced by eunuchs. In the meeting, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur asked to allocate a separate room for transgender in each district headquarters hospital and a separate cemetery for burial. It is also decided because transgender are not allowed to be buried in common cemeteries and so often the “molvies” refuses to offer even “jinaza” of the dead transgender.
Ali Amin Gandapur said that he will take steps to solve all other problems met by transgender.
The good thing is that the federal and provincial leaders have tried to solve the problems of such an oppressed class that is often overlooked. On which both deserve praise. If competition to take good measures in the federation and provinces starts, many problems of the country can be solved.
It should be remembered that transgender is the most backward and oppressed section of the country for which there are few measures to be taken, FIRs can be filed easily. The tragedy of our society is that often the cases of ordinary citizens are not registered against the influential people, so transgender cannot even imagine it.
Officials know that eunuchs are often shot at during wedding ceremonies and threatened, which often results in their death but they have no heirs, so no FIR is filed against them. Even if transgender want to go to the police station and file an FIR, they are snubbed.
This is the reason that oppression and violence on this oppressed section in the society is increasing day by day for the prevention of which it is necessary not only to make more legislations from the provincial assembly for their protection but also to implement them.
Practical steps should be taken so that transgender can be taken out of this vortex of problems. Therefore, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur who has started to focus on welfare work should also focus on these issues.
It is hoped that the provincial government will continue its positive activities for other oppressed sections of the society including eunuchs and in order to remove the outdated ideas found against them in the society, the journey will be continued towards making them useful citizens.so we can say that the provincial government initative would be brig fruit to stabilized the society against the transgender community in the province. It should be hoped soon the FIR, S of transgender would be also possible to file timey in the in any police station in the province.
Chief Minister Ali Amin Ganda and his team should be praised enough for the above initiative. If separate wards are allocated for eunuchs, then their health problems will definitely reduce.
