Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan held a consultative meeting with financial advisors for privatization of PIACL. The financial advisers, a consortium led by Earnest & Young, briefed the minister on the progress made so far and the future course of action on the divestment of PIACL. The minister was apprised of the restructuring and segregation plan, which is being implemented as per Cabinet approval apart from the PIACL privatization schedules. The minister appreciated the progress made so far and issued the necessary instructions to speed up the process. The minister noted that PIA is a huge investment opportunity for any potential buyer given the legacy, goodwill and potential of the airline. Privatization Division Secretary Mr. Jawad Paul and Privatization Commission Secretary Mr. Usman Akhtar Bajwa were also present in the meeting.
