Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Prof Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said that mining sector is a priority area of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) phase 2.
Chagi, in a meeting with MRDL Saindak, a Chinese mining company operating in Balochistan, praised the company’s decades-long efforts to develop the mining industry in the rich region of Balochistan.
In the meeting, it was discussed that if the energy needs are met by creating a national electricity network, the cost of all mining projects in the province will be reduced.
It is worth mentioning here that the Saindak copper-gold project in Balochistan is operated by MCCT Resources Development Company Pvt Ltd (MRDL).
MCCT has submitted a proposal to establish a mineral industrial park in Pakistan, from the refining and deep processing of copper / tin / zinc, with a great contribution to mineral products.
With the development of more mining projects, it will be possible to create such an industrial park.
The mineral industrial park will also attract investors to metal refineries and processing plants that produce wire, rod, plate and other products.
At the same time, electricity, water supply, transportation and other sectors can also be developed to facilitate industrial parks.
