Islamabad: Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China and member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Liu Jianchao will visit Islamabad from June 20 to 22, 2024 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar. .
During the visit, Liu will co-chair the third meeting of Pakistan-China Joint Consultative Mechanism (JCM) Political Party on CPEC with Dar. He will also invite Pakistan’s top civilian and military leaders.
The JCM of Political Parties on CPEC, established in 2019, is a regular consultation mechanism between the Communist Party of China and Pakistan’s political parties. Previous meetings were held in Beijing on March 19, 2019 and August 20, 2020.
In the third JCM meeting, Pakistan and China will review the progress of the CPEC project, CPEC’s contribution to Pakistan’s socio-economic development, regional development and expansion.
The visit is part of a series of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China, including between the Chinese Communist Party and Pakistan’s political parties.
The two countries consider the importance of deepening the “Air Strategic Partnership”, affirming mutual support on issues of core interest to each other, promoting the quality development of CPEC and promoting important regional and global communication and dialogue. progress.
