KHYBER: Member National Assembly from NA-27 Iqbal Afridi urged the line departments to serve the masses by addressing issues being faced by them.
Addressing on the occasion in Kuli Kachehri (open court)held in Loye-Shelman area of tehsil Landi Kotal, district Khyber last day he said that the people voted them to ease their problems and they will leave no stone unturned to work for the welfare of the masses.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khyber Haseeb-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Irshad Mohmand, local Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders, officials of line departments and a large number of locals attended the open court.
MNA instructed the officials concerned to resolve the issues in respective areas on immediate basis and to provide facilities in the remote area in accordance with their complaints.
Inefficiency, negligence and compromise would not be tolerated by them while dealing public matters; he warned and called an enquiry against all absent teachers, posted in state-run schools in Loy-Shelman.
He assured that necessary measures were being taken to provide all basic amenities to people at their doorsteps in the respective area.
He vowed that more Kuli Kachehris will be initiated in far-flung areas who have short of approach to the government offices to file their problems.
The parliamentarian also distributed Zakat funds among deserving residents of the area.
Earlier, residents put heaps of complaints in front of officials and said since the creation of the country, the area had been ignored of basic rights.
They said that Loy-Shelman lacked facilities of education, health, link roads besides other basic services and they demanded a sub-tehsil status for Loy-Shelman of Landi Kotal.
