Lower Chitral: District Youth Office Lower Chitral in collaboration with District Civil Administration organized a grand function to celebrate “World Mother Language Day” on Wednesday.
A large number of people from different walks of life participated in this event, writers, poets, professors, researchers, political leaders and especially youth and women participated in large numbers in this event.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Lower Chitral Muhammad Imran said that mother tongue has great importance in people’s lives, because through mother tongue people express feelings, this can be a strong reflection of our cultural background, he said, for many people, their mother tongue is an important part of their identity and for them it is also a source of pride.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Imran Khan and Youth Officer Sardar Ali Wazir were the chief guests of the event.
At the end of the program, the participants also took a walk for the importance and promotion of the mother language.
