ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education and Training (M/o FE&PT) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a joint IT Internship Program to improve the employability of IT students and strengthen industry-academia linkages.
The MoU, signed between the Deputy Minister for Federal Education and Member (IT), CDA in the presence of Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Minister for Education, establishes a 24-month partnership.
Under this contract, CDA will provide ten paid internships for six months over two years.
This internship program will be offered to students enrolled in Hi-Impact IT Labs set up in 16 colleges under the Federal Ministry of Education and Training, each six-month internship offers a monthly stipend of PKR 40,000/-.
Upon graduation, interns will receive certificates from CDA.
The Federal Minister of Education emphasized the role of the Memorandum of Understanding in preparing students for the labor market.
He also highlighted its contribution to the growth of the IT sector in Pakistan. APPLICATION
