According to sources, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi asked for a list of officials recruited based on political affiliation in the board.
Naqvi, who was recently elected as the chairman of the board, also asked about the current position and salary of such people working in the board.
The PCB chairman also asked for the education certificates of all those recruited irregularly and irregularly as he is determined to free the board from political influence.
The shortlisting process has already begun and an important decision can be expected next week as Naqvi aims to track down the right person for the right job formula.
Sources further said that Naqvi is completely against the culture of lobbying and propaganda as he will take immediate steps to make his job easier and smarter.
Mohsin Naqvi had earlier taken a major decision to renovate three major stadiums in Pakistan ahead of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, after which plans to upgrade the stadiums were presented to him.
Karachi National Bank Stadium, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will be expanded before the start of the ICC tournament in 2025.
Remember, PCB signed an agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) in December.
The event will mark the return of the ICC Champions Trophy after a gap of eight years since 2017, when Pakistan won the tournament. Several Test-playing nations such as Sri Lanka and the West Indies missed out on this global tournament, with Sri Lanka failing to make the top eight in the 2023 ICC World Cup points table.
A total of eight teams will compete in the One Day International (ODI) format for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The selection process ensures that the top seven teams from the ICC ODI World Cup group stage and hosts Pakistan secure their place in the upcoming tournament.
The confirmed teams for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 are Pakistan (host), India, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, England, Bangladesh.
