UPPER DIR : A three-day national conference on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence Libraries” was held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal,Upper Dir which was attended by a large number of students and faculty members from universities across the country. According to details, the conference titled “Exploring the Nexus: Artificial Intelligence and Libraries” was held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Sheringal. The main objective of the conference was to explore the potential use of artificial intelligence in libraries and information science, and to focus on its social, ethical, and technical aspects. The conference covered important topics such as the use of artificial intelligence in library management, enhancing user experience, knowledge discovery, ethics, and challenges in implementing AI in libraries. A total of 180 male and female participants attended the conference. The inaugural session was addressed by special guests, including Director General PASTIC Professor Akram Sheikh, Vice Chancellor Islamic University Professor Dr. Ali Muhammad Khan Yusufzai, and Patron-in-Chief VC SBBU Professor Dr. Muhammad Shahab. The conference chair, Dr. Arfanullah, welcomed the participants, while Dr. Saeedullah Jan and Dr. Zakaria thanked the participants for their participation. On the first day of the conference, various technical sessions were held in which participants from different regions of Pakistan presented their papers on various aspects of artificial intelligence and its integration with libraries and information science.
