BUREWALA: In the lead-up to the next general elections, Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, declared on Friday that his party would deal with the current problems of unemployment and inflation as soon as they take power on February 8.
Speaking to a sizable crowd in Burewala, the former three-time premier pledged to lower inflation, lower the cost of gas and electricity for every household, and drop the cost of bread and sugar.
He bemoaned the exorbitant costs of necessities, citing the price increases of tractors, fertilizers, and the building of motorways in comparison to his own time.
Nawaz said he liked the young people and was sorry they were unemployed, demonstrating his empathy for them. He blamed the previous PTI government for the unemployment and said that no young person would be unemployed now if Nawaz Sharif’s government had remained in power. Nawaz declared that his party would restore prosperity to Pakistan and ensure that every household had a job with the backing of the people.
He declared that they would build highways, high-speed rail lines, and perhaps even an airport in the area.
Earlier, a joyful assembly of PML-N leaders, workers, and supporters gave Nawaz Sharif a hearty welcome when he arrived at the power show’s location.
