A celebration of joy and cultural heritage unfolded at the meeting, which was graced by distinguished ambassadors, distinguished guests and distinguished colleagues. On this auspicious occasion, International Navruz His Excellency, Mr. Ambassador, warmly greeted and wished everyone good health, on the occasion of the arrival of the beautiful spring holidays.
Since 2010, Navruz has been recognized as an international holiday, which confirms its importance through a resolution of the UN General Assembly and its inclusion on the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Rooted in antiquity, Navruz transcends time, spanning over six millennia. It is not just a celebration, but a testimony to the enduring identity and existence of Tajiks, Persians and millions of people living in the Navruz basin.
On the contrary, heralding the equinox, it means not only the rejuvenation of nature, but also the renewal of spirit, mind and aspirations. It embodies the philosophy of unity, promotes friendship, cooperation, creativity and well-being. As nature awakens, so do dreams and hopes, connecting people with a common thread of humanity and gratitude for the beauty and abundance of the natural world.
Quoting the wisdom of the famous poet Maulon Jaloluddin Rumi or Balkhi, the message is profoundly simple: “On this earth, on this earth, on this pure estate, let us sow nothing but the seeds of kindness and love.”
At the end, a heartfelt vote of thanks was given to H.E. Mr. Ambassador and the Iranian Embassy team for organizing this remarkable event. The camaraderie and warmth shared between Excellencies and dear friends was palpable and embodied the spirit of Navruz.
When the gathering ended, the guests left with resounding words: “Khush amadid mehman aziz” – You are welcome, dear guests, and Navruz Muborak!
