New York: United States pacer Saurabh Netrawalkar dismissed India’s Virat Kohli for a golden duck in the T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
Netrawalkar became the first bowler to dismiss Kohli for a golden duck in the history of the tournament. Kohli played 28 innings and scored 1146 runs.
Meanwhile, it was Kohli’s first dismissal in four consecutive international innings with single-digit wickets.
He was dismissed for a duck against Afghanistan earlier in the season. In three World Cup matches, he scored 4, 1 and 0.
It is worth noting that India is chasing a target of 111 against the United States.
Pacer Arshdeep Singh was India’s best bowler, taking figures of 4/9 – the best by an Indian in the history of the tournament.
He dismissed Shayan Jahangir, Andrew Ghose, Nitish Kumar and Harmeet Singh
Nitish was the only player to score 27 off 23 for the United States. Opener Steven Taylor top score with 24 (30).
Apart from Arshdeep, Hardik Pandya added 2/14 and Axar Patel 1/25.
