A Brief Introduction Dr. Rai Shabbir Ahmad He completed his PhD on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah under Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chawla, Professor, Department of History and Pakistan Studies, Punjab University.
Currently, he is the Head of Department of History and Pakistan Studies and Associate Professor at Gujarat University.
Dr. Rai’s book consists of four chapters and has tried to enlighten readers about important aspects of the life of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mahatma Gandhi. There is no doubt that both of these figures have a big impact on the history of South Asia. Without them, the history of India and Pakistan would not be complete.
In his book, Dr. Rai presented a clear comparison showing that the personality of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the only force that contributed to the Pakistan Movement. Comparing the two figures, he is of the opinion that Jinnah was more successful in achieving his goals than Mahatma Gandhi. The book clarifies that the purpose is not to prove that one leader is better than another, but to show which leader is the most accomplished for his nation. This book may lead any reader to conclude that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the only individual who implemented Allama Iqbal’s vision of Pakistan through his efforts.
Originally an MPhil thesis, this book was converted into a book by Dr. Rai. This is an important research book published after Professor Dr. Sikander Hayat 2014 on Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with extensive quotations on every important point. This book is very important for researchers, teachers, students, especially those who study this field.
