UPPER DIR: The New Profiling and Documentation of non-duty paid (NDP) vehicles was started in district Upper Dir here on Wednesday. The action were taken after six years in the light of Apex Committee meeting under the chair of caretaker PM Awaar Ul Haq Kakar few days ago at Peshawar , it has been decided to bring the NDP vehicles in the tax net fare after the implementation of tax and imposition of customs duty in Malakand Division including Upper Dir districts.
The process of new profiling and Documentation on Non duty paid (NDP) vehicles was started at district headquarter Dir under the supervision of the district Excise and Taxation officer (ETO) Muhammad Arshad Khan. The ETO Arshad Khan told about the first Registration of vehicles in Upper Dir. He said that profiling of vehicles has nothing to do with tax or customs duty; he added that “we will plan only records of these vehicles which are not registered so far in the authority after complete profiling will send them to the government as per the instructions of the provincial government.
Mr Arshad said that there is no reality of any rumors on social media platform that these vehicles will bring into the tax net and custom duty .but we are clearing according to per instruction has issued from high-up’s. he said that there is nothing any kind of charges Fee for new documentation and profiling these vehicles, added that the vehicles which have already been allotted numbers in year 2017-18 has no need to re-register them again. He appealed to those people who had not registered his vehicles yet, to come to the Excise and taxation district office at Dir near Dir stadium and register it.
ETO Arshad said according to high-ups, any new registration policy will be made with public and all concerned stakeholder consultation.
it is mention that in 2018 combined with three departments police, security forces including Excise and taxsation department was registered more than Ten thousand six hundred Non custom paid vihciles in Upper Dir.
