UPPER DIR: A new vegetable and fruit market was inaugurated in Dir, which was opened by EX-federal minister and PPP central leader Najmuddin Khan, Jamaat-e-Islami, PTI, and other political leaders. The market, located at the former Saeed Hotel location , will be provide all types of vegetables and fruits.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Najmuddin Khan emphasized the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in the market to promote trade and commerce. He expressed hope that the market leaders and traders would provide quality products at reasonable prices.
Other speakers, including Fasihullah and Imran Saeed, stressed the need for traders to provide relief to the common people and middle class by offering affordable prices. They also highlighted the need for political workers to support the market.
Khalid Roghani, president of the Traders Association, expressed concern over the increasing incidents of theft and robbery in the market and surrounding areas. He warned of strong protests if the police failed to provide security.
Rahimullah, president of the Vegetable Sellers Association, requested the district administration and police to allow vehicles to enter the nearby one-way road to avoid congestion in the main market. He explained that the new market was established to provide convenience to the public and traders.
