ISLAMABAD: The military forces were commended by the National Security Committee (NSC) on Friday for responding to Iran in a way that was appropriate.
The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad under the direction of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, decided to protect the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs. This time, PM Kakar offered his opinions, saying, “Our response to Iran was effective and was based on achieving the targets.”
“Pakistan aspires to coexist peacefully with its neighbors and is a peaceful nation,” Prime Minister Kakar declared.
Plans to carry out intelligence-based operations to eradicate the nation’s terrorism problem were made public by sources.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Syed Asim Munir was present at the meeting along with the heads of all the services, federal ministers, and top military, intelligence, and civil servants.
Attending the conference were the acting federal ministers of defense, foreign policy, and finance in addition to the secretaries of the interior, foreign policy, and defense ministries. Mudassir Ali Tipu, Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran, was also present at the conference.
