Syed Qamar Raza, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), presided over the meeting of the Education Division of OPF to review performance of its educational institutions. During the meeting, he expressed his firm commitment to prioritizing issues pertaining to OPF educational institutions and emphasized that officers of the Education Division to intensify their efforts to ensure the provision of quality education to the children of overseas Pakistanis at OPF educational institutions. He highlighted the importance of quality education and assured to bring them at par with any other best educational institutions.
Recognizing the invaluable contributions of Overseas Pakistanis to the national economy, Chairman Raza has directed officers in the education division to ensure the adoption of a student-centric approach in each of the OPF educational institutions. In addition to providing quality education, these institutions must prioritize personalized learning, career counseling, and extracurricular activities to nurture well-rounded citizens.
He also recalled that the OPF Educational Institutions have steadfastly served the children of overseas Pakistanis and local communities for several decades. With an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character development, and fostering global citizenship, OPF is dedicated to preparing students to thrive in our ever-evolving world.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar, Director General (Education), provided a comprehensive briefing to Chairman Raza regarding the various initiatives launched by the Education Division for the children of overseas Pakistanis. Additionally, he highlighted the performance of each OPF educational institution and outlined the challenges faced by these institutions.
At the end, Chairman Raza asked DG Education for a comprehensive plan indicating measures for further improvement of OPF Educational institutions to make them self-sufficient for which he will be available round the clock to assist in this regard. He has given a six-month timeline for a visible progress.
