Islamabad: Federal Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik stated that our own gas is costing us more than LNG from other countries.
Speaking about the new policy of the Ministry of Petroleum, Musadik Malik said that LNG is very expensive globally, but our own gas is even more costly. Our discoveries cost us ten dollars, while imported LNG costs between eight to nine dollars.
He said that we need to see where the problem lies and address it. The government is reviewing policies and working on a new policy. The circular debt is also an important factor causing losses.
The Petroleum Minister further said that the LNG market is growing in the coming times, and Qatar is increasing its LNG supply by 33%.
