ISLAMABAD: Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has so far disbursed over Rs 80 billion among more than 76,00,000 beneficiaries across the country under Benazir Kafaalat Quarterly Payments (April-June).
“By July 22, over Rs. 80 billion has been disbursed among more than 76,00,000 beneficiaries who constitute 81 per cent of the total beneficiaries,” an official source said.
Disbursement of the quarterly tranche (April-June) of the Benazir Kafaalat cash assistance to beneficiaries continues across the country to pay R10,500 per household among more than nine million registered beneficiary families.
Beneficiaries can receive the payment through the nearest centers after receiving the message from 8171. In case of any complaint, the beneficiaries can approach the nearest BISP Tehsil offices or call Benazir Income Support Program toll free helpline 080026477.
A special control room has been set up at the BISP headquarters to deal with the complaints of the beneficiaries expeditiously.

Benazir Income Support Program messages are sent from 8171 only and messages from any other number should not be trusted.
BISP officials have been directed to ensure smooth disbursement of Kafaalat payments to women without any deductions.
The staff were mandated to monitor the disbursement process and take immediate action against the agents responsible for the deductions from the beneficiary’s payments.
BISP currently supports 9.3 million deserving families and acts as a lifeline for those facing economic hardship.
The Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) Programme, also known as the “Benazir Kafaalat Programme”, is a flagship initiative of BISP and was launched in 2008.
Since its inception, the UCT/Kafaalat initiative has grown to the point where it is now the largest single cash transfer program in Pakistan’s history.
