ISLAMABAD: The last training camp of Pakistan Street Child football team in preparation for Norway Cup 2024 will be held here at Pakistan Sports Complex from 21st.
From July 21 to 25, the training camp will continue here, in which the selection of the squad for the Norwegian Cup 2024 will be concluded.
The national team will fly to Norway on July 25 to participate in the event, a press release said.
Earlier, thousands of youngsters participated in trials organized by the Pakistan Street Child Football Team administration last month.
Pakistan Street Child Team will participate in the Norwegian Cup mega event for the fifth time, which will be held from July 27 to August 3 in Oslo.
The national team finished second at the 2015 Norwegian Cup, third in 2016 and second in 2023.
It may be mentioned that Pakistan Street Child Football team was the undefeated team of the Norway Cup event last year.
In the 2022 Street Child Football World Cup held in Doha (Qatar), the national team was undefeated in the group matches, but the Pakistan team had to face a 4-3 defeat against Egypt in the decider.
The Pakistani team was also runner-up at the 2018 Street Child Football World Cup in Russia, while they were third in Brazil in 2014.
