Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan in collaboration with Rabta Alaam Islami (Muslim World League) will hold a major global conference on Girls’ Education in September 2024.
The prestigious event aims to bring together various international and national dignitaries, including ministers of education from many Islamic countries, to address and solve the many challenges girls face in the education sector, according to a press release issued here yesterday.
The focus of the three-day conference is to explore and formulate effective strategies to ensure better institutional response and resource allocation to promote women’s education globally.
The conference will feature the participation of leading academics, education experts, policy makers and various stakeholders to share experiences, expertise and best practices in the field of girls’ education.
The Prime Minister has set up a special committee to ensure that this event is organized appropriately and efficiently. The committee was chaired by Education Secretary Mohyuddin Wani and included Naushein Iftikhar MNA, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Department of Education and the Capital Development Authority Ms. Naushein Iftikhar MNA. Their collective efforts are aimed at ensuring the smooth implementation of this high profile event.
A large number of participants from all over the world are expected to attend the conference. Among them are education experts, politicians, practitioners and representatives of various international organizations.
The event will be an important platform to share experiences, discuss the multifaceted challenges faced by women in education and find innovative solutions to overcome these obstacles.
