LAHORE: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Secretary Rana Mujahid announced on Thursday, May 23 that the Pakistan Hockey Team has received visas for the tour of Holland and Poland.
The Pakistan hockey team will travel to Holland in the first round, he added.
According to sources, the national hockey team will leave the Netherlands for the FIH Nations Cup on Friday, May 31 to Poland. If their team wins the Nations Cup competition, the Pakistani team will qualify for the Pro League. .
According to the PHF secretary, the Pakistan team left for Amsterdam this morning.
Hosts Poland will join Austria, Canada, France, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa in the competition for the hosts’ cup. Teams are divided into two pools of 5 and 4. Pakistan is in Pool B with Canada, France and Malaysia.
Pakistan impressed in the recent Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia but lost to Japan on penalties in the final.
