ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Iran decided on Monday to cooperate in advancing the shared objectives of peace and development, predicated on respect for one another and a cooperative strategy to tackle the faced difficulties.
According to a Foreign Office statement, the agreement was reached during a meeting between Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, who arrived here early on Monday.
The two parties talked on bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the value of frank communication and cooperation as the means of achieving a constructive, upward-pointing trajectory in bilateral relations.
After greeting his Iranian counterpart when he arrived at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FM Jalil Abbas had in-depth discussions to improve communication and engagement between the two countries and fortify their relationship.
