RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Navy has raided a major drug smuggling tip in the North Arabian Sea during a maritime security patrol in the region.
A successful operation by Pakistan Navy’s ASLAT resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of drugs worth millions of dollars.
This operation is an effective surveillance by the Navy.
Naval vessels of the Pakistan Navy regularly engage in Regional Maritime Security Patrols to prevent military narcotics smuggling, piracy and human trafficking at sea.
PNS ASLAT is an F-22P frigate capable of conducting a variety of warfare and full security maritime operations at sea. The ship was deployed as part of Multinational Combined Task Force-150 (CTF-150), part of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Task Force-150 should provide maritime security to prevent terrorism and related illegal activities.
