ISLAMABAD: “On the occasion of the celebration of the national birthday of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, I have the honor and pleasure to convey my greetings and best wishes to Your Excellency and the entire people of the Republic of the Netherlands.
It gives me immense pleasure to state that Pakistan and the Netherlands have enjoyed long-term friendly relations and good cooperation in recent years,” said Federal Minister for Industries and Production and National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain as the chief guest on the birthday. celebration of King Willem-Alexander held here at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Islamabad.
I am confident that through joint efforts, the friendly relations and good cooperation between our countries will be further strengthened and fruitfully strengthened for the benefit of both nations in the years to come, thus contributing to peace, stability and development cooperation.
I am happy to report that several cooperation programs have taken place between the two governments and various organizations.
The Dutch government’s facilitation has expanded through PUM – providing free senior Dutch experts has been extremely beneficial to many industries including engineering, horticulture, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, etc. However, this program has unfortunately been discontinued due to certain reasons. I would like to ask the Dutch diplomacy to seek the revival of this particular program.
Further, Dutch organizations like CBI (Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries – Netherlands) have played a vital role for developing exporters from Pakistan. I would like to suggest expanding their programs to value added export sectors from Pakistan to train them to become exporters to EU countries as this is one way we can work together for sustainable and inclusive economic development.
“I am confident that through joint and intensified efforts, the long-standing friendly relations and good cooperation, both bilateral and multilateral, between our two countries will be further strengthened and flourished for the benefit of our businesses and people in the years to come,” he concluded. .
