PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi confirmed in press conference that squad for the series against England T20I will be announced on Wednesday.
The Green Shirts will play England in a four-match T20I series from May 22 to May 30, which will be their last appearance before the start of the T20 World Cup 2024.
“Tomorrow we will announce the squad for the England T20I series,” Naqvi said at a press conference on Tuesday.
He also touched on other important issues like the 2025 Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan. Naqvi said that India had no reason to play Pakistan in the tournament.
“We have submitted the Champions Trophy schedule to the ICC and all the eight teams will come,” Naqvi said. “There is no reason behind this that why India should refuse to come.”
“If [India] is making propaganda, why not you?” Naqvi asked the media. “We’re not thinking about a hybrid model, that’s for sure.”
With a total of seven T20Is to be played, Pakistan will have a busy schedule in May.
Before the tour of England, Pakistan will travel to Ireland for three-match T20I series, with all matches being played in Dublin.
