Operation AzmeIstehkaam was announced and immediately protests started by different groups (Intishari tola) to protect colleagues. This scandal led to several unfounded objections, such as:
“Why was Operation Azm-e-Istehkaam not approved by Parliament?”
“Civil wars have also taken place in Syria, Iraq and Libya. Why don’t neighboring countries experience the same effects?”
“Despite being the sixth largest army in the world, why isn’t this war over yet?”
Let’s tackle these unfounded objections one by one.
Eighteen and twenty years ago, there were bomb blasts in every city. Remember that cities like Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Islamabad, Karachi and Quetta are witnessing daily casualties of innocent citizens. Are these cities safer now?
The operations have driven the terrorists out of the cities and are now confined to Balochistan, Waziristan and the border areas.
A second objection asks why the rebellion has not been eradicated. If you are close to reading the book, you will not give the wrong message. This is not possible without stopping external costs. Remember that it took Sri Lanka twelve years to eradicate the Tamil Tigers after India stopped funding them.
According to the UN, BLA is the third largest terrorist group in terms of financial institutions and Indian banking operations support these institutions. Funding stopped? It was a diplomatic failure, not a military one.
As for Libya, Syria and Iraq, how many ISIS supporters are there in neighboring countries? Do political parties or governments there support or oppose them?
Look inside before you speak first. The Pakistan Armed Forces have made huge sacrifices in these six operations to clear the areas handed over to the government and civil administration. Evaluate your own performance.
When thousands of Taliban were expelled by the Mahatma, why was Parliament’s approval sought? Have all stakeholders been consulted? According to the 18th amendment, 650 billion rupees were given to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to increase the capacity of CTD, but this amount was released by the group on social media. Do you have an answer for that?
Then you ask why surgery is always done in KP. Brother, action will be taken where necessary. Your claim is absurd; action is taken where there is a problem.
We also have some questions. What happened in Sargodha, Sialkot and Swat – was it not an administrative failure? Shouldn’t I ask them? All Pakistanis understand that if this snake is not crushed today, it will rise again in the city tomorrow. Does this country allow a revival?
Political slogans are catchy and lectures look good, but there must be positive results from such lectures. You have the government, you have the funds – what have you achieved in ten years? What are you doing? How many people have been brought into the mainstream?
Look at yourself before you speak. Now, it remains to be seen who will be in trouble when the operation begins. There will only be terrorists and their supporters. Those brought up by foreign organizations are now very angry. However, it is important to solve the problem before it gets to the root. Azm-e-Istihkam is the name of a firm decision that reflects the sentiments of the entire nation. Pakistan is fully committed and ready to achieve its social and economic goals.
