Beijing: Pakistan’s exports to China in the first two months of 2024 exceeded $10.10 million, registering an increase of 68.11 percent compared to last year.

This increase in agricultural exports shows Pakistan’s commitment to diversify its trade portfolio and enter new markets, according to Muhammad Amir, a cotton seed exporter, speaking to the China Economic Network (CEN). Demand for sesame seeds from China is boosting Pakistan’s agricultural sector and promoting greater economic cooperation between the two countries.
As Pakistan continues to look for ways to expand its exports, cooperation with key trading partners such as China plays an important role in ensuring sustainable development and prosperity for both countries.
He also said that Pakistani farmers need incentives to increase the export of agricultural products such as new innovative methods, accessible technologies, fertility-enhancing seeds, and training.
Pakistan’s sunflower seed exports to China are set at $290.66 million in 2023, $128.44 million in 2022, and $120.44 million in 2021.
