LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi as the vice-captain of Pakistan Test Team.
Shaheen will be the deputy to newly appointed Test captain, Shan Masood.
The duo is set to lead the team in the upcoming Test series against Australia, which is set to start from Thursday.
Earlier, Shaheen was also appointed captain of the Pakistan men’s T20I cricket team.
Shaheen has played 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 52 T20Is for Pakistan.

Earlier today, Pakistan confirmed their heir playing XI for the opening match of the ICC World Test Championship series in Perth, starting on Thursday.
The fast bowling attack will be spearheaded by Shaheen Afridi, with support from Faheem Ashraf.
