LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that former selector and pacer Wahab Riaz will attend the International Cricket Council (ICC) coaching workshop in Maldives.
The workshop is scheduled for July 29-30.
In a statement, the PCB revealed, “The ICC will organize a two-day high performance workshop in the Maldives on July 29-30. Former Test cricketer Wahab Riaz and former international cricketer Shahid Anwar (head coach of National Cricket Academy) will participate in the workshop.
The workshop aims to provide insight into the latest coaching techniques and strategies for identifying and nurturing grassroots talent.
In addition, the PCB announced that the Academy’s CEO, Dr. Imran Abbas will attend the four-day ICC Level-2 Tutors training in Malé starting on July 24.
This training is part of the ICC’s training program to equip member countries with qualified level 2 trainers to train the coaches.
The ICC appointed former Pakistan cricketer Iqbal Sikander and former Bangladesh Test captain Amin-ul-Islam to run the course.
