ISLAMABAD: According to information, a delegation from the People’s Republic of China embassy in Pakistan paid a visit to the Central Police Office (CPO) in Islamabad. The group also met with Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The Additional Inspector General of Police for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as other senior police authorities, were in attendance.
The mission, led by the Chinese Consular, presented protective equipment to the Islamabad Capital Police and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police on behalf of the People’s Republic of China, for which the ICCPO expressed gratitude to the Chinese Ambassador. He informed the group that the Islamabad Capital Police has taken numerous critical measures to ensure the security of the Chinese Embassy.
The team was also briefed on the establishment of the Islamabad Capital Police’s Special Protection Unit. The ICCPO also thanked the People’s Republic of China for providing a variety of training programs to improve the capacity of police officers.
The Chinese delegation praised Pakistan’s government and the Islamabad Capital Police for their efforts to ensure the effective security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
Furthermore, the Chinese delegation confirmed that mutual cooperation between the Islamabad Capital Police and the Beijing Police will be strengthened in the future.
