Peshawar: The International World Environment Day was observed on Wednesday at the Peshawar High Court with a plantation drive, jointly organized by the Human Rights Council of Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (HRCP KP) and the Peshawar High Court Bar Association (PHCBA).
The event was initiated by Alam Khan Adenzai, General Secretary of PHCBA, and Advocate Masooma Mir, President of HRCP KP, along with their team members.

Speaking on the occasion, Alam Khan Adenzai emphasized the importance of protecting the environment and the role of the legal community in promoting this cause.
Advocate Masooma Mir highlighted the need for collective action to address environmental challenges and ensure a sustainable future.
Advocata Masooma Mir emphasized the significance of World Environment Day in motivating individuals and communities to take actions against climate change ,importance of small steps such as conserving water, switching off lights, and adopting eco-friendly behaviors to protect the environment consistently over time.she also said widespread use of plastic for convenience and its disastrous impact on the world.
She emphasised the need to find alternative means for employment in the plastic industry, which is connected to millions of people.
