BEIJING: The participation of the Honor Guard of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in the Pakistan Day military parade in Islamabad fully demonstrated the unique bonds between the two countries and contributed to a colorful chapter in military-to-military relations, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Monday.
At the invitation of the Pakistan Army, a delegation of the PLA Honor Guard participated in a military parade in Islamabad to celebrate the 84th Pakistan Day, Lin Jian said during his regular briefing in response to a question raised by APP.
The participation of the PLA contingent fully demonstrated the unique ties between the two countries and contributed to a colorful chapter of mile-to-mile relations, he added.

During the event, the 36-member PLA Honor Guard escorted the Chinese national flag as it marched across the avenue and shouted Long Live Pakistan-China Friendship in Urdu in response to warm applause from the audience.
The spokesman said that as strategic partners for all-weather cooperation and iron friends, China sincerely wishes Pakistan greater achievements and progress in national development.
