SWAT: These are tough times for workers.
Workers in Swat district are forced to work hard on Labor Day without knowing the importance of International Labor Day and their rights.
Seventy-year-old laborer Muhammad Zahir Shah is one of these workers. Despite his old age and infirmity, he strives to light the hearth of his house during inflation.
Muhammad Zahir Shah gave this answer to the problem of working hard even in old age:
“Work has become a part of my life now and I vow not to work with this device until I die.”
With tears in his eyes, Zaheer Shah said that he spent fifty-five years of his life at that power plant and shed his blood and skin for the economic development of the country. Hopefully, if not today, tomorrow morning will be less trouble.
Baba Zaheer Shah, who operates the electric machine, shows weakness and indifference despite his old age, but now the situation is causing him frustration. “
He said he was old. His eyes are also weak, his legs can no longer work. But there is no other way. He comes in the morning and works from nine to ten at night. But unfortunately, so far nothing has been done by any government for the welfare of workers.
“This story is not only Baba Zahir Shah, but every worker who works in the power plant and other industries in Swat is affected by the situation and faces hardships due to the indifference of the authorities.”
President, United Labor Union (CBA) Swat Merajul Nabi Mazloom said there are more than five hundred garment factories in Swat district. Cosmetic factories are also operating and these factories employ more than a million workers in Swat.
He said there are only a few factories left in Swat and only a few hundred workers are employed now, adding that four workers are mixed with one worker, but unfortunately they do not receive wages and other benefits announced by the government.
Today is International Labor Day, but workers are still working because of high inflation. he said.
That is why we demand the reign of God! Take pity on our condition and give the workers their rights.
Economists said that if the rights of workers who sweat to run the country’s economy are protected and protected, the sinking economy can flourish.
