ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will depart for a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia on Saturday evening where he will perform Umrah and call on his Saudi counterpart during his stay in Jeddah.
The prime minister would also renew his invitation to MbS to visit Pakistan.
Several development projects will be completed during his stay, with bilateral cooperation continuing between the two countries in several sectors including agriculture, sources said.
They said Saudi Arabia should invest $1 billion in the Reko Diq project as well.
Before his visit, the prime minister will hold consultations with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif in Lahore, they added.
It would be Prime Minister Shehbaz’s first visit to the kingdom since taking office in March. Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, is heading back to his country to receive the prime minister.
