ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the incumbent government is aware of the serious challenges facing Pakistan and is committed to steer Pakistan on the path of economic recovery and prosperity through a compelling policy reform framework.
“We are fully aware of the serious problems that Pakistan is currently facing, including inflation, unemployment, current account debt, fiscal and trade deficit and above all the growing scourge of terrorism,” the prime minister said in his message to the nation on Pakistan Day, which was observed. on Saturday (March 23).
Congratulating Pakistanis at home and abroad, he said that Pakistanis as a nation have been resilient in the face of extraordinary circumstances and have stood the test of time.

He said that on the way to democracy, the people of Pakistan had elected their representatives in the general elections held on February 8 and subsequently the governments were formed at the federal and provincial levels.
Prime Minister Shehbaz urged the countrymen to renew their firm resolve to follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers and make Pakistan a tripod of peace, progress and stability.

The Prime Minister said that March 23 marked a significant day in history because on that day in 1940, the Muslims of the subcontinent passed the historic “Lahore Resolution” and demanded a separate homeland where they could freely live their own way of life. to the principles of Islam.

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that forefathers made tireless efforts and made exemplary sacrifices for Pakistan and millions of Muslims left their homes in India and decided to migrate to Pakistan.
The new state faced unprecedented challenges, including creating a social and economic base, settling refugees, creating state institutions, and meager resources. However, the Prime Minister said that under the inspirational leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and with the resilience and dedication of the nation, these daunting challenges facing the nascent state were resolved and the foundations for an independent democratic state were laid down.
