Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, wind and thunder with occasional gaps in most parts of the country this week.
The western wave will enter the western part of the country on April 24 and cover most of the country on April 26.
Due to the effect of this weather system, rain, wind and thunder are expected in Nushki, Pishin, Harnai, Obob, Barhan, Gwadar, Kech, Awaran, Chagi, Kharan, Kalat, Mastung, Jhal Magsi, Naseerabad, Sibbi, Kohlu. , Dera Bugti, Loralai, Qilla Saifullah, Qila Abdullah, Quetta, Ziarat, Shirani and Musa Khel from April 24 (night) to April 27 (morning).
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Waziristan, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, thundershowers and thundershowers and snow in higher mountains are expected. Bajaur, Mohmand, Karag, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan and Kurram have occasional vacancies from 25th April (evening/night) to 29th April. Rain-Wind/Thunderstorm expected in Murree, Galliat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Punjab and Islamabad. Regarding possible impact, isolated/moderate to heavy rains may cause flash floods on April 26 and 27 in local nullahs, especially in Nushki, Pishin, Harnai, Obob, Barhan, Gwadar, Kech and Awaran in Balochistan.
– Landslides are expected at several places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Ghaliat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from April 27 to 29.
In addition to lightning, storms can damage crops, power poles, vehicles and solar panels, etc. can have the same effect.
Farmers are advised to manage their crops according to weather conditions, especially in areas where wheat is harvested. Travelers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel, especially between April 26 and 29.
