Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League leader Nawaz Rana Sanaullah said that the election commission of PMLN has announced the process of electing Nawaz Sharif as the new president of the party.
According to it, the party’s presidential election will be decided at the central council meeting held on Tuesday (tomorrow) at Hotel Faletti.
Addressing a press conference at Model Town, Rana Sanaullah said that in accordance with the party’s constitution, the process of election of the party’s president has started with the Central Working Committee accepting the resignation of Shehbaz Sharif as president.
Shehbaz Sharif continued to be assigned until a new president was elected and appointed as the acting president.
According to the constitution of the PMLN party, the Central Working Committee appointed the Selection Committee.
Nominations are scheduled on May 27 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and nominations will be accepted from 12:00 pm to 12:00 pm.
Rana Sanaullah said that if anyone could not receive the nomination papers due to any reason, they can be submitted tomorrow (Tuesday).
The final count will be done at 3 p.m.
Tahira Aurangzeb, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Raja Farooq Haidar, Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, Shah Ghulam Qadir have received their nomination papers and will submit their nomination papers tomorrow from 10 to 12 at night.
Rana Sanaullah said that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi can also submit papers, the eligibility criteria will be discussed during the review.
“Nawaz Sharif has given this party four chances to come to power in the center like Punjab and other provinces and given the mandate to the people. Pakistan has the honor of being a nuclear power in the PMLN,” he said.
PML-N President Rana Sanaullah said he prayed that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would not meet Sheikh Mujeeb’s fate.
Sheikh Mujeeb ur Rehman was the Chief Executive of the Bangladesh Premier League from 17 April 1971 to 12 January 1972 and from 25 January 1975 to 15 August 1975. .
Rana Sanaullah said that PTI does not know who its supporters are now.
