Mardan: Kharki police station got access to the killer through an effective strategy on the report of missing girl.SP Sadar Police Station Rahim Hussain explained the details in the press conference.
On August 5, plaintiff Shakirullah, son of Gul Sakna, head of Dara Baizai Kharki, filed a missing report of his three-year-old niece Sadaf daughter of Yousufin Kharki police station.
On receiving the report, DPO Mardan Zahoor Babar Afridi, under the leadership of SP Sadar Division Rahim Hussain, DSP Shergarh Ajab Khan, SHO Kharki Shaukat, SHO Lond Khwar Shafi Ur Rehman, has sent for the recovery of the girl and the arrest of the accused formed a special investigation team comprising SHO Shergarh Khaista Ul Haman and other investigation officers.
The team began the investigation using advanced scientific means and professional strategies.
During the search operation on August 8, the murdered body of the missing girl Sadaf was found by the police in the nearby lands of the hilly area, which was shifted to Bacha Khan Medical College for post-mortem.
SP Sadar Police station Rahim Hussain while giving a press briefing to the media said that the team formed by the police detained 14/15 suspects while investigating from different angles.
During the investigation, the accused confessed his crime and said that seeing the girl alone he picked her up and took her to the land near the hill and after sexually assaulting her, he strangled her to death.To hide the crime, the girl’s body was hidden in the bushes and later placed in an obvious place so that the police or her relatives could find it.
The accused will be produced in the local court after legal proceedings.
