RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League chairman and former federal minister Sheikh Rashid on Thursday said the political landscape in the country is heading towards destruction.
Speaking to the media after appearing in court in the case, he expressed concern over the public crisis. He said that the inflated electricity bills and inflation had made the public take to the streets and the government was responsible for the outcry.
He also highlighted the political victimization of PTI and said it was denied an election symbol. “Efforts are now on to ban PTI,” he said.
All these injustices would not affect the PTI, but the government would eventually pay the price, he added.
He criticized the government and said their actions would benefit PTI founder Imran Khan. He said the policy is headed for destruction and things will be clear by August 31.
He again specified that Lal Haveli was around three marlas and his personal property. He said he was evicted from his home and 19 houses were built there.
He said Lal Haveli was desealed twice on the order of the Lahore High Court.
