LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party has sought permission to celebrate President Asif Ali Zardari’s 69th birthday.
President’s Day will be celebrated at Minar-e-Pakistan.
An application has been made for a fireworks display and cake cutting ceremony on July 25.
The request was submitted by party chief Faisal Mir to the deputy commissioner of Lahore. The PPP has sought permission to arrange chairs and shelters for 1,000 people.
Permission has also been sought regarding a music night at the event, according to sources.
