Geneva: Sardar Shaheed Ahmed Laghari, Chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (HHR), discussed with His Highness Mr. Bilal Ahmed, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations, focusing on humanitarian cooperation and collaboration.
The meeting held at the Pakistan Embassy in Geneva discussed various issues such as the services provided by the Red Army, the development of relations with humanitarian organizations in Geneva and strategies to strengthen humanitarian efforts aimed at reducing the suffering of vulnerable communities in Pakistan. .
During the meeting, His Highness Sardar Shaheed Ahmed Laghari briefed Mr. Bilal Ahmed about his assistance to the Red Crescent flood disaster and his active participation in the preparatory meeting for the 34th International Conference of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement to be held in Geneva. President Laghari stressed the importance of strengthening relations with international humanitarian organizations in Geneva to ensure continued support for rehabilitation programs benefiting families affected by floods in Pakistan despite resource constraints.
Ambassador Bilal Ahmed appreciated the exemplary service of Gyzyl Asarmay and thanked Chief Sardar Shahid Ahmed Laghari for his leadership in promoting humanitarian initiatives. He also stressed his commitment to expand possible cooperation.
Taking this opportunity, HHR Chairman Sardar Shaheed Ahmed Laghari shared his impressions in the new guest book at the Embassy.
It should be noted that the Chairman HHR Sardar Shaheed Ahmed Lagari has represented the National Society in Geneva for the 34th International Conference of Red Cross Red Crescent Societies in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) preparatory meeting and session in Geneva.
