ISLAMABAD : President Dr. Arif Alvi created the need to increase the cooperation of Muslim countries to solve the fight against Islam in the world. He also called for less cooperation between OIC member states in intelligence and technology to meet ultramodern challenges. The President expressed these views while talking to the sociable Ambassador of Tajikistan in Pakistan, Ismatullo Nasredin, who bid him farewell. Addressing the ambassador, the President said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Tajikistan, as it is Pakistan’s closest neighbor in Central Asia. He emphasized that there is a great opportunity to increase bilateral trade and profitable cooperation, which must be fully exploited. He called for finding new opportunities for profitable cooperation for the common good of the two brotherly countries. The president expressed satisfaction with the continuous expansion of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan in all areas of mutual interest, especially in trade, energy and defense. Speaking about the situation in Gaza, the president said that Pakistan is deeply concerned about the suffering of people in the Gaza Strip, where Israeli forces have committed genocide and grossly violated the rights of the dead. He complained that despite the painful images from Gaza, the international community could not stop Israeli atrocities. The President congratulated the gregarious ambassador on the successful completion of his tenure in Islamabad and appreciated his sweat to establish friendly relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
